The music played is mostly extracts and slower pieces so that you can hear how notes sustain and how they end. The intention is to give you an idea of the sound character of each instrument and a way of comparing them; for this reason there are many recordings of the same pieces. You may expect to hear playing imperfections as well as occasional road traffic, rain, birds, lawnmowers and other general background noises!
