  • Hi Michael. I took delivery of one of Philip's guitars in Feb 2012 (no 313). A very quick and bright guitar with long sustain. Philip names his guitars after women and I asked him to call my one "Hikari" ( which in Japanese means "bright one")... certainly apt. I received the guitar in winter and that proved a little problematic for the french polish finish. Once I understood the instrument's sensitivity to humidity and how to control that in the playing space things settled down. Cheers

  • Hello Michael, Very good to hear from you. I am now in the process of taking a deposit for this Woodfield guitar, so unless that falls through, it is sold now. Philip's lattice guitars are very fine with quickness of response, high volume and more near traditional sound than most of the cedar lattice guitars. The workmanship and polishing is of a very high standard also. Kind regards, Miles
