The concert guitars of Walter Verreydt are made in a tasteful, traditional way with great precision, care and love. Since 1988, Walter has taught guitar-making at the "Centrum voor muziekinstrumentenbouw" in Puurs (Belgium).
This guitar has a high-class, traditional sound character -with real clarity and a full, rounded, potentially sweet sound with a strong centre to each note. The body air resonance is around F#. It offers a wide variety of tone colour and is quite responsive to vibrato. We are hugely impressed with these guitars - precisely made, looking very beautiful and with impressive sound - and all at a very competitive price; very hard to beat, if not equal.Walter Verreydt - Click here to find out more about this maker
"Immediately at our first meeting it was clear to me that Miles Roberts, unlike most guitarists, can put into words exactly the qualities of the guitar he examined and that he can describe precisely what he expects of a good instrument. Miles' wide vision, nourished by the many contacts with both guitarists and guitar makers, makes it possible for him to find the perfect match between the instrument in the Kent Guitar Classics’ collection and the buying guitarist. It is for a guitar maker most pleasant to work with someone who has an eye for the smallest details of the design, the construction and the decoration of an instrument: it stimulates to work on a higher level each time."
