Indian rosewood - fine quality, very straight-grained, with maple purflings and rosewood bindings. All shellac french-polished.

European spruce with some bearclaw figuring with a very beautiful, fine-detailed rosette and rosewood bridge with bone-framed tie-block capping.

The concert guitars of Walter Verreydt are made in a tasteful, traditional way with great precision, care and love. Since 1988, Walter has taught guitar-making at the "Centrum voor muziekinstrumentenbouw" in Puurs (Belgium).
This guitar has a high-class, traditional sound character -with real clarity and a full, rounded, potentially sweet sound with a strong centre to each note. The body air resonance is around F#. It offers a wide variety of tone colour and is quite responsive to vibrato.
