  • Comments:

This is a workshop production of the Toni Müller-designed sandwich-top guitars that have become so much in demand since about three years ago. Their success is demonstrated by the large percentage of sales going to professional players like Aniello Desiderio, Sharon Isbin, Scott Tennant, Thomas Kirchhoff, Dale Kavanagh, Eden-Stell duo, Hubert Kappel and many more. The waiting list for those made by Toni is at least six years and those of identical construction such as this one, made by his assistant Agron Llanaj in the same workshop, about two years. Toni says "This is made in the same way as mine so the sound is comparable".
They unquestionably have a strong, solid sound which can be shaped in terms of tonal variety and with a closeness to traditional tone character; more so it seems, than many guitars that are designed to be loud. The balance between bass, middle and treble is very good, as is the sustain, clarity and ease of playing; the action set-up for left-hand comfort is very good.
This cedar version has a warm, rounded yet clear sound. Depth of bass comes from an air resonance a little above F# and with an important character that the bass notes hold well the bottom octave.
This model was introduced in exhibitions during 2011 to represent the Toni Müller design and sound - but made identically by assistant Agron Llanaj, with sound quality that we cannot significantly distinguish from Toni's own build but at lower price.
