1999 - number 336
Rosewood - near quarter-sawn and of high quality; dark and close-grained. Very stable.
European spruce. With an intricate, geometric rosette that has outer 'rope' bands that match with the attractive purflings and bridge tie-block. The soundboard has a very silky quality and has close and very uniform grain width.
Make - yet to be identified - with brass sideplates and rosewood buttons.
65cm
52 mm at the nut
In excellent, original condition. The head, neck, back and sides are virtually as new. The fronts has two or three string dings at the bridge tie point and just a few tiny marks - maybe ten little ones in total. So, apart from the string dings, looks very close to new condition.
This is the top-of-the-range Tezanos Perez models which they produced before going their separate ways. Typically Madrid-style in terms of weight and feel, this is quite an impressive instrument. The sound has depth, clarity, that majestic Spanish character, projects very well making it a worthy concert guitar.
