  East Indian rosewood - very attractive, well-aged timber with Hauser-style purfling, rosewood bindings and back centre-strip. All shellac french-polished to high standard.
  Body length:- 484 mm.
  Top bout:- 282 mm wide & 90 mm deep.
  Waist:- 235 mm & 93 mm deep
  Bottom bout:- 367 mm wide & 91 mm deep.

• Front:

  European spruce - having a very silky top with lots of medullary rays showing it to be well-quarter-sawn. Attractive Hauseresque rosette with fine details, matching purflings and rosewood bridge with bone-edged tie-block cap.

• Tuners:

  Klaus Scheller with plain brass Hauser-shaped side-plates and ebony buttons mounted on a rosewood-faced head.

• Scale:

  65cm with 19 frets on an ebony fingerboard

• Neck Width:

  51 mm at the nut with 42.5 mm string spacing.

• Weight:

  1580 grams

• Condition:

  New. All shellac french-polished. Looking very precise and handsome.

• Comments:

  Stefan Nitschke is a young German maker (and professional level guitarist) who has had practical guidance from Gerhard Oldiges and is producing finely-crafted instruments, with some inspiration from Hermann Hauser style; not just in appearance but also in sound. With an primary air resonance between F & F#, the guitar has a deep, resonant bass combined with a clear, singing treble and good volume throughout.
  This is the fourth we have bought from this maker; the previous ones were much-admired. A very fine, refined instrument at very competitive price.
