Simon Ambridge guitars have an immediate 'wow' factor as soon as you open the case lid. This model is very closely based on a 1940 Hauser guitar owned by ourselves and very similar to the one which Julian Bream had for many years. With a mass close to the original and a body resonance down near, the sound is deep and Hauser-like as you would expect. It is immediately lively with deep bass and quick, clear and incisive trebles that are sustaining and well-balanced with the middle and lower registers. Volume and projection is very good. All round these are high class instruments where the quality of the materials, craftsmanship, playability and sound all come together in a fine and very handsome concert guitar.
