Santos Hernandez - Calle Aduana - Madrid

  • Year:

    1925

  • Body:

    Brazilian rosewood back and sides

  • Front:

Spruce - with a typical Santos rosette with herringbone motif.

  • Tuners:

Unknown make - small, circular buttons - apparently original and in good working order.

  • Scale:

    650mm

  • Neck Width:

    51mm at the nut

  • Condition:

WOW! - A very rare opportunity to acquire a rosewood classical guitar from one of the early 20th century truly great makers. The guitar has understandably had some repairs but is in good shape and sounds marvellous.

  • Comments:

Fully playable with low, easy action. It has an old-world sound with rich, deep bass and a very smooth, silky, lyrical treble. It is extremely hard to find these guitars; particularly classicals and the price is much below that of ones sold in the USA.
