  East Indian rosewood - dark, perfectly straight-grained... lovely stuff - with double-line purflings to back and sides.
  Body length:- 490 mm.
  Top bout:- 274 mm wide & 89 mm deep.
  Waist:- 236 mm & 92 mm deep.
  Bottom bout:- 369 mm wide & 93 mm deep.
  All shellac french-polished.

• Front:

  A very characterful European, bearclaw spruce top - with beautiful, hand-crafted rosette, matching purfling and rosewood bridge with bone-framed tie-block. Shellac french-polished.

• Tuners:

  Schaller Grandtune with Munich-shaped side-plates, white rollers and square perloid buttons

• Scale:

  65cm with 19 frets on an ebony fingerboard

• Neck Width:

  52mm at the nut with 43 mm string spacing.

• Weight:

  1398 grams

• Condition:

  A new, not-previously-sold guitar that remained with Richard as a demonstrator to show workshop visitors.
  The back, sides and neck are as new. The front has some really tiny marks and the back of the head some very faint scratches that may well rub out.
  All shellac french-polished.

• Comments:

  Richard Newman is consistently producing persuasive quality instruments that sound good and look good. Made in traditional manner and style, the workmanship and finish is very pleasing and most importantly, they have refined musical qualities. These hand-crafted instruments are a very good buy with refinement and subtlety at a price that is very competitive.
  The air resonance is down around F which gives a strong depth of bass, yet has a good treble, nicely in balance with the bass and middle - and again reminding me of the sound character of many Romanillos guitars.
  Richard's guitars have been bought by some good players and have come to the attention of and been recommended by tutors at some of the main colleges and conservatoires.
