    Malaysian blackwood - with beautiful, dark and mysterious colours. The sides are lined with maple. Note the very attractive twist in the centre strip - How does he do that?

  • Front:

    European spruce - with very even grain width. Lattice construction to provide power and loudness. Multiple-line purflings enclosed by Honduran rosewood bindings. The rosette, with a background of maple, is engraved with a motif taken from the column of an Anglo-Saxon stone cross in the British Museum. The bridge tie-block carries the same form of decoration.
