Paul Fischer of Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire

    MMVIII - 2008 - number 1152

  • Body:

Rosewood - of superb, premium quality with beautiful colours, quarter-sawn figuring. Double purflings throughout.

  • Front:

Canadian cedar - with a lovely pale colour and silky grain. Not the 'Taut system' model but with fan-struts and transverse-bar construction.

  • Tuners:

Rodgers tuners with very handsome, engraved sideplates and white mother-of-pearl buttons.

  • Scale:

    65cm

  • Neck Width:

    52mm at the nut

  • Condition:

Like new - hardly a mark; a couple of tiny nicks on the back of the neck and very minor front marks - almost as if just from the maker's bench.

  • Comments:

A typically handsome Paul Fischer guitar with superb materials, fine details and high standard of finish. The quality of the rosewood, the Canadian cedar and of the tuners is of premium, luxury standard. In combination with Paul's lifetime experience in workmanship, here is a fine example of English luthery. The sounds available in this guitar are colourful and warm as you would expect from a cedar front but also quite bright and penetrating with effective projection. So here is your chance to grab a virtually new Paul Fischer without the wait and with a saving.
