  • Comments:

Little needs to be said about these famed instruments. They are known for immense power and well-balanced richness of tone across all strings. This one has a deep voice from low air resonance along with very powerful trebles. At the same time, it can be played sensitively with tonal variety.
Where Matthias has favoured wenge back & sides with spruce front in recent years, this one was especially requested with cedar front and CITES-certified Brazilian rosewood - it is eight years ago since he last made with this combination. As a result, Matthias seemed very pleased with the result and has enjoyed playing it during the testing phase. It is impressively loud as you would expect but has more tonal nuance, sublety and tonal character than anticipated.
I don't like saying these things normally but this guitar is insane - it is so loud with such a deep, focussed bass combined with a very strong, in-balance treble. Well worth the 13 years wait!
