All shellac french polished.
European spruce - of very fine quality with extensive espejuelo / medullary figuring. The rosette is one commonly-seen from this period. The rosewood bridge has bone-framed tie-bock capping.
Fustero lyre-pattern tuners with engraved brass side-plates, white rollers and square perloid buttons mounted on a rosewood-faced head.

This flamenco guitar is in completely original condition; no cracks, no repairs, original golpeador and original finish. having been owned by a busy full-time player, the guitar has plentiful but normal playing and handling marks.
This guitar is another originally brought into England by Pepe Martinez. These flamenco guitars of Manuel Reyes are legendary of course. Many knowledgeable players have their preferences for Reyes guitars of different periods and those of the 70's are favourite with many people.
This is without doubt an excellent-sounding Reyes blanca. It has a very crisp, sparkling treble with a really punchy quality; wonderful with rasgueado. The bass and middle are also well focussed.
