  • Body:

    Very lovely rosewood - with colours of brown, green and orange. Attractive purflings with many elements.
    Shellac french polished.
    Top bout:- 272 mm wide & 90 mm deep.
    Waist:- 235 mm
    Bottom bout:- 357 mm wide & 92 mm deep.

  • Front:

    European bearclaw spruce; probably Swiss - with rosette and purfling design reminiscent of the early 20th century. Rosewood bridge with tie-block decoration matching the rosette.

  • Tuners:

    Rodgers tuners with hall-marked silver sideplates - recently fitted.

  • Scale:

    655mm with 19 frets on the ebony fingerboard which has slighty radiused frets and surface.

  • Neck Width:

    51.5 mm at the nut

  • Weight:

    1395 grams

  • Condition:

    In highly attractive condition.
    The front appears to have been re-polished, with shellac.
    There is some common shrinkage drying crack along side the fingerboard.

  • Comments:

    Such a lovely instrument that feels and sounds very much in the style of Enrique Garcia / Torres.
    It has a lovely deep sound (air resonance between E & F) and a clear, characterful middle and treble with surprising volume and impressive projection. Once you let the sound and feel of guitars like this get under your skin, much more modern instruments are something different.
