• Body:

  Satinwood (chloroxylon swietenia) - with exceptionally beautiful figuring and colour shading all over - quite outstanding. This beautiful timber was used by the great master makers of the past; Torres, Enrique Garcia, Francisco Simplicio and many others.

• Front:

  The body shape and rosette design are much inspired by Santos Hernandez. Rosewood bridge with bone-capped tie-block. All varnish/lacquer finished to high standard.
  Body length:- 488mm.
  Top bout:- 283 mm wide & 92 mm deep.
  Waist:- 238 mm & 95 mm deep.
  Bottom bout:- 364 mm wide & 94 mm deep.

• Tuners:

  Nicolo Alessi H7 pattern with dark mother-of-pearl buttons and black rollers.

• Scale:

  65cm with 19 frets on an ebony fingerboard.

• Neck Width:

  52mm with 43mm string spacing

• Weight:

  1528 grams

• Condition:

  As new and looking very handsome.
  This is a reluctant re-sale from the first owner who has decided to re-sell several instruments to fund urgent medical and family expenses.

• Comments:

  Lester de Voe is perhaps more famed in Europe for his flamenco guitars. A talented luthier for nearly 40 years, Lester has developed an international reputation with the great players of flamenco and classical guitar. DeVoe guitars have been owned and played in concerts and on recordings by the greatest flamenco performers of four generations: Sabicas, Paco de Lucia, Vicente Amigo and Antonio Rey. Pavel Steidl and Pepe Romero have also both played DeVoe Classical Guitars.
  This is a true classical guitar with a lovely depth of bass from its F primary air resonance and a crisp, singing treble that has impressive consistency of note length. It is very comfortable to play and has plenty of volume. The tone character is warm and clear making it suitable for so many styles of repertoire.
  So - overall, a bit of a beauty!
