2007 - completed September / October.
Very beautiful, old rosewood / pau ferro with lovely contrasting purfling and maple bindings. The back and sides have an oil finish; like the whole of the guitar.
This is the larger of two models with a 365mm wide bottom bout.
The head is attached to the neck with a Vee-joint.
European spruce with a very attractive geometric rosette. Oil finished.
David Rodgers with engraved brass sideplates and white mother-of-pearl buttons

Near mint. There is a faint string mark - very shallow and not easily noticed - by the 1st string, in an otherwise near-perfect condition front. I can find just a couple of other faint marks. The back, sides, back of neck, head and tuners are virtually as new.
Kevin Aram guitars have much of Torres in their design and are therefore of a very traditional and beautiful sound character. Using very high quality materials and made with great skill and passion, Kevin Aram produces fine instruments that appeal to guitarists appreciating traditional guitar-making and sounds of the early great master makers. This particular guitar has very good balance, a deep bass voice and clarity throughout. With a bigger sound than some Arams I have played, this has yet to fully open up having only been played lightly since new. In summary, a lovely instrument that is very enjoyable to play.
