This instrument is in extremely good condition and at a glance, looks like new, partly aided through the varnish / lacquer that the maker has perfected.
The back, sides, head and neck have very few marks. The front has a few very small marks in the finish; virtually nothing for a guitar of more than 35 years.
The reputation of this maker for precise, high quality craftsmanship is thoroughly deserved; every element being really accurate and very well finished.
To me, the feel and sound is Madrid in style; the design and appearance also. The basses are crisp and focussed; the trebles, bright, clear and sustaining. It is also noticeably easy and comfortable to play. The 64.7cm scale helps in this regard as does the pleasing neck profile a low action.
The guitar has an A10 certificate issued by the UK authorities in 2016 for the pre-convention Brazilian rosewood - can therefore be legally exported; including USA, with a re-export permit.
