  • Comments:

Johan Sarens combined studying jazz guitar at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with guitar construction at CMB (Centre for musical instrument making) with Walter Verreydt. In 2017, he received the "Gouden Bootschaaf 2017" - golden fingerplane. This prize is for exceptional craftsmanship and for honoring and spreading the knowledge of the instrument-building craft. Being both guitar player and builder gives him the advantage of an intimate knowledge of the instrument.
This particular guitar is clearly loud and forward-projecting, yet offers tonal variety, clarity and a wide range of dynamic. At a very reasonable price, this is highly-recommended.
