This lovely guitar is in really outstanding, original condition. There are no repairs and no cracks. There is just one string whip mark below the bridge and only a small number of insignificant marks on the front.
The back and sides show some milky /opaque patches in the polish. This is at the surface of the wood; not the surface of the polish - and is likely to be something to do with the pumice grain-filling. After some years these cloudy patches can occur.
This is a very fine Fleta guitar - in superb condition and with a terrific sound. Some of the later Fletas were heavier, more stiff and with a higher air resonance. This guitar has an amazing treble, right up to the top, which sings and really sustains. Although cedar, I don't think it has a very cedary sound; it is neither nasal nor dark. It has a warm, typically Fleta sound, with obvious clarity, refinement and very good balance. The neck is more comfortable than many I have played - it is less heavy; less thick. When the 6th string is tuned down to D, the guitar has a wonderful growl. The original owner chose it from three when he went to collect it in Barcelona in 1978. Sound sample now loaded.
