European spruce - with a little bit of bearclaw and one of the well-recognised rosette patterns. Rosewood bridge.

  • Weight:

    1395 grams

  • Condition:

The condition is very good, with no crack repairs, original polishing and very few marks on the front. The back of the neck and the fingerboard are nearly free of marks.
There is an area in the centre of the lower back and also a smaller area on the bottom side which has a lot of buckle or button marks; not scratches but impression lines - only visible when in reflected light.
Apart from that, it is in very good condition for a flamenco guitar 30 years old.

  • Comments:

Here is a typically good Gerundino from a period that so many people consider to be when many of the finest Gerundino's were produced. This has been in the ownership of an amateur player and may well have been played relatively very little; particularly in recent years.
It has a rasping, penetrating, very flamenco sound character and very low, easy action.
