  • Body:

Malaysian blackwood (Diospyros ebonasea) - a really beautiful set of premium quality, with very attractive grain lines, colour variety and elegant purfling. This is a tonewood that performs very similar to Indian or other rosewoods. As beautiful as many sets of Brazilian, it has the advantage of not being an endangered wood species.

    Waist:- 239 mm & 99 mm deep.
Bottom bout:- 367 mm wide & 99 mm deep.
All shellac french-polished to very high standard.

  • Front:

Canadian cedar - highest quality, pale in colour, close-grained and well-seasoned. Rosewood bridge with bone tie-block capping and decoration. All shellac french-polished.

  • Tuners:

Waverly - Sloane tuning machines with patterned side-plates, white rollers and snakewood buttons.

  • Scale:

65cm with 19 frets on an ebony fingerboard

  • Neck Width:

52mm at the nut with 43 mm string spacing.

  • Weight:

    1843 grams

  • Condition:

In very good condition with only minor marks.
The back has one very faint, grain-line shake which appears just in the surface - it is of no consequence

  • Comments:

These outstanding and very refined cedar guitars have an established and deserved reputation. Responsive and loud but with a more traditional guitar sound than lattice guitars. Clear, rich and focussed basses with a clear ringing treble. One of the few guitars that seems to do everything very well and suitable for a wide range of repertoire. A strong, impressive concert guitar.
