Pre-convention, Madagascan rosewood (dalbergia maritima) - of really beautiful quality; dark in colour with pronounced figure in the centre of the back and range of red, rust, brown colours, maple purfling and ebony bindings.
Body length:- 489 mm.
Top bout:- 279 mm wide & 93 mm deep.
Waist:- 237 mm wide & 98 mm deep.
Bottom bout:- 369 mm wide & 95 mm deep.
All shellac french-polished. - Front:
European spruce - an absolutely beautiful front, perfectly-quartered and very silky with even grain width throughout. Very attractive geometric rosette with a centre twist motif. Rosewood bridge with 2 hole-per-string tie system and bone-framed tieblock cap.
- Tuners:
Custom-designed Nicolo Alessi with engraved brass side-plated, white rollers and oval, ebony buttons mounted on a head faced with ebony.
- Scale:
65cm with 19 frets (plus 20th for the 1st string) on an ebony fingerboard.
- Neck Width:
52mm at the nut with 43.5 mm string spacing.
- Weight:
1648 grams

This is a stunningly beautiful instrument, with the Madagascan rosewood back & sides and silky spruce front. Daniele Chiesa's design and craftsmanship are always truly excellent and tasteful.
The sound is equally impressive with creamy, smooth, singing trebles and a rich bass and middle. A really musical guitar; delightful to look at and with the strength and warmth of sound that so many people search for.
