South american swartzia, rosewood or machaerium - Dark and straight-grained timber with characterful graduations in colour. Without centre-strip to allow the natural beauty of the wood to show through.

European spruce - a really good silky top with lots of medullary rays carrying a fine-detailed rosette, rosewood bridge with attractive framing to the tie-block.
- Tuners:
Waverly-Sloane with dark mother-of-pearl buttons.
- Scale:
65 cm - and with 20th fret.
- Neck Width:
52 mm at the nut. 43 mm string spacing.
- Condition:
This guitar has an all-over oil finish.
In very good condition with only very minor playing wear.
A deep string whip below the 1st string tie point has been made good by Christopher Dean. -

Christopher Dean guitars are routinely sought-after because they are consistently excellent. They are commonly starting life with very free and open sound throughout. They are rich and deep with superb bass and clear singing trebles that are clear and rounded.
This example has a particularly clear and projecting treble combined with his usual musical quality.
