European Alpine 'moonwood' spruce, a fine-grained top with an intricate rosette incorporating block inlay outer border, figured maple bands and central herringbone pattern. With single satinwood bindings, front double purfling and rosewood bridge. Shellac french-polished, with a slight colour tint.

In very good condition, this has only minor polish dulling in two or three areas and some really tiny marks on the front mainly from string-changing.
The polish on the front shows some very faint, superficial crazing.
