The guitar is in glorious, near-new condition. I have stared at it for hours and wondered if it has been repolished. I cannot see any marks below the polish surface, such as remains of deep scratches, to justify why it should have been yet it looks in such superb condition. The finish on the back has some lifting at grain pores (like you see on many lacquered Ramirez 1a guitars) which takes years and years to happen. I can certainly confirm it has not been touched in the last six years. So whilst there is no evidence of re-polish, we cannot guarantee that the finish is original from 1975, but it may well be. There is certainly no evidence of re-finish or thinning of the front.
This is a pre-Bouchet influence Marin. Typical of many from the 1970's, it has focussed, solid and characterful sounds. Really pleasing to play
