2008 - secondhand
Indian Rosewood - very beautiful and with a slim strip of white sapwood at the centre joint
European spruce - high quality and attractive colour. (Please note - the contrast in colour in the centre is exaggerated by the photography). Attractive geometric rosette and rosewood bridge
Rubner tuning machines. The assymetric head crown is a reflection of the peaks of the Sierra that can be seen from the makers workshop.
65cm
52mm at the nut
All shellac french polished. In near-new condition, this secondhand guitar has been very well cared for - just a couple of small marks.
This was the first and immediately impressive guitar for us from this young Granada maker. Very traditionally built, it has immediate strength, focus, clarity and the projection and range of tone quality make it a worthy concert guitar. The tuning is particularly good with very accurate fret positioning and intonation compensation. The trebles are clear and round and the basses have a crisp, well-defined quality that preserves the bottom octave of each note. A really terrific, Spanish guitar - very well worth considering if seeking a good concert instrument on a budget.
