  • Comments:

James Lister studied at the London Guildhall University under David Whiteman, and then specialised in classical guitar making at Newark College where today he teaches two days per week.
These well-constructed instruments are made in the Spanish tradition with bracing much-influenced by Hermann Hauser. They are clear and bright, well-balanced with a depth of bass from air resonance around F#. Although very new and needing to be played in, this guitar shows much promise. Already the sustain is pleasing and it offers a wide range of tonal variety with good volume. Very well worth considering.
