  • Comments:

These Fritz Ober instruments are really beautiful and impressive. Although never copying one specific instrument, Fritz Ober's guitars are very much in the style of Hermann Hauser I but also with some deeper bass resonance of Torres guitars in mind. The plantilla / soundboard shape is very Hauseresque with some reference also to those of Manuel Ramirez and Antonio de Torres. The treble is strong, evenly very rounded and impressively open for a new guitar. The bass is very deep and resonant from the low body resonance near Eflat yet this appears to take nothing from the fullness of the middle and treble resulting in a very balanced guitar that is a joy to play. For those many players appreciating the rich and beautiful tones of the traditionally-built classical guitar, here is a magnificent example of Hauser character that has the depth and strength required of a true concert guitar.
