This is quite a large-bodied guitar from this period of Christopher's making.
European spruce - a characterful top with hints of bearclaw figuring, rosewood bridge with bone & mother-of-pearl tie-block capping.
Rodgers with engraved brass sde-plates, white rollers and white m-o-p buttons
65cm with 19 frets (plus 20th for the 1st string) on an ebony fingerboard.
52 mm with 42.5mm string spacing.
In really good condition with very little playing wear. The slightly faded sides show, only in certain strong light, some parallel polish crazing lines which suggests that the back and sides to be lacquered; something we will verify with Christopher. This would also explain the back and sides being in near new condition. The front which is shellac, french-polished, is in super condition with only a few very small marks. This guitar has been looked after very carefully.
This is a clear, bright, strong-sounding guitar from Christopher Dean and with a good balance. Some, not all of Christopher's later guitars, are smaller and lighter in weight with deeper, richer and sometimes darker sound. This one is of the more bright and lively sort, but not lacking in bass. So, this is your chance for a secondhand Christopher Dean in very good condition and sensibly-priced.

"Having known Miles for many years now I can say with some authority that dealing with him is a pleasure, due largely to my secure feeling that he, like me, has a genuine love of his subject. Over the years I have always been eager to hear feedback from both Miles, and his customers, and this has helped me greatly to bolster my own passion for the guitar and to refine my work ."
