In July of 2008, I had a wonderful couple of hours with Marcelino Lopez Nieto in his Ciudad Jardin home and workshop. His workshop is full of components of many types of plucked and bowed stringed instruments; some of which you see hung up. He also had a number of near-completed guitars. In his house he also has a display of his collection of guitars, vihuelas and other instruments that he has built up and kept over two or three decades. Many of them are ones he made himself and often very ornamental versions. He also has several interesting guitars from lesser-known makers. He is a delightful person, very charming and gentle.
