Sebastian Stenzel inlaying his rosette
From the workshop of Sebastian Stenzel, here he is preparing to inlay his rosette to a spruce soundboard. In his routine of making, Sebastian makes and fully assembles his rosette before laying it into the soundboard as a whole. (Some other makers prepare tiles of the inner motif and lay in the outer rings, tiles and inner rings separately). The Sebastian Stenzel rosette is quite intricate yet is both attractive when viewed close up and effective at a distance.
