Dominique's workshop in St.Chamas is the Ancient Powdery; part of a complex of Napoleonic buildings which was used for storing gunpowder centuries ago. It is close to the centre of a beautiful town, very close to the meandering sea coastline which also has the nearby harbour in which Dominique and Catherine have a boat on which they spend many a weekend. The workshop area is very peaceful and allows him to get on with his craft in solitude except for their dog. Dominique really seems to enjoy his work and usually carries a broad smile - or perhaps he is muttering some obscenity, as he hates having his photo taken!
