Paulino Bernabe 1983 spruce
Just arrived a very fine concert guitar by Paulino Bernabe made in 1983 and signed by him under the spruce front. A good vintage Bernabe guitar made before the more recent labelling of the Especial, Concierto, Royal, India models etc., it is a high level concert guitar with beautiful timbers and with clear, impressive sound and with no cracks or repairs, is a fine example of a performer’s guitar made when Paulino Bernabe was at the height of his powers. Full details and photos to come soon.

Stephen Hill cedar lattice 2009
Just in – a December 2009 Stephen Hill lattice-fronted, cedar guitar – very similar to those played extensively by Gary Ryan. These guitars are loud, quick and responsive with a warm character and yet little of the typical lattice sound that many people are growing to dislike in some makes of lattice instruments. Full details and photos to follow soon.

Christopher Dean – SANTOS 1929 replica
Just in – an outstandingly successful replica of a 1929 Santos Hernandez made during January and February by Christopher Dean. What a honey! In appearance, feel and sound, this is a remarkably good reproduction. All over the world we see copies of master-maker guitars but so rarely does the maker capture the feel, look and sound of the original to this extent. For full details, click here. -
